Senior Azure Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Azure Engineer to join our Technical Services team. You will work closely with customers to design, deliver and optimise secure, scalable Azure and hybrid cloud solutions, while travelling regularly to support a key engagement in the Channel Islands.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver enterprise‑scale Microsoft Azure and hybrid cloud architectures.
• Lead customer workshops, technical discovery sessions and architecture discussions.
• Create secure, resilient and cost‑effective cloud platforms aligned to business needs.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or Azure Bicep.
• Drive automation, governance and DevOps best practices.
• Lead cloud migration and modernisation projects.
• Optimise Azure environments for performance, security and cost efficiency.
• Apply Azure security controls such as Azure Policy, Key Vault, Defender for Cloud and RBAC.
• Support pre‑sales activities including scoping, effort estimation and proposal development.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote Azure/DevOps standards across the team.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an Azure consultant or cloud engineer.
• Strong consultative mindset with the ability to build trusted customer relationships.
• Willingness to travel regularly (1‑2 days per week) to the Channel Islands during the initial engagement phase.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
