About the role

This Senior Business Development Manager – Litigation role sits within a leading collaborative law firm, working with a connected BD team to lead overall business development and marketing initiatives for the litigation department. You will shape and execute the BD strategy, coach partners on strategic initiatives and manage complex client opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the overall business development and marketing initiatives for the high‑quality litigation department, ensuring alignment with firm objectives.
• Shape and execute the BD strategy together with the senior BD leadership team, driving growth and market positioning.
• Direct BD targeting and client‑listening programmes, coaching partners on strategic initiatives and fostering client engagement.
• Manage a select set of client teams and oversee the client‑listening agenda to capture feedback and opportunities.
• Map the size of potential opportunities and manage larger, complex client relationships across the litigation practice.

Required profile

• Proven business development and client management experience within the legal sector, with a focus on litigation.
• Demonstrated ability to work closely with senior partners and coach them on strategic initiatives.
• Strong understanding of BD targeting, client listening and opportunity mapping in a law‑firm environment.
