Senior Buyer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Buyer with a strong background in manufacturing or distribution. You will work closely with the senior leadership team to own day‑to‑day and strategic purchasing activities, influence procurement performance and develop supplier partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Manage key supplier relationships, negotiate pricing and contract terms.
• Monitor supplier performance and ensure continuity of supply.
• Oversee purchase orders, lead times and pricing across a range of materials and services.
• Identify and implement improvements in purchasing processes, systems and stock management.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align procurement with business objectives.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Buyer, Senior Buyer or Purchasing professional in a manufacturing, distribution or similar product‑led environment.
• Strong commercial awareness with a proactive, hands‑on approach to problem‑solving and continuous improvement.

• Supplier negotiation and relationship management.
• Purchase order, pricing and lead‑time management.
• Stock control and inventory management.
• Analytical and commercial skills to identify cost‑saving opportunities.
