Senior Category Manager – Clinical, Corporate & Capital Procurement

About the role

King’s Facilities Management (KFM) is seeking four Senior Category Managers to lead high‑value procurement portfolios across clinical, corporate and capital categories. Based at Denmark Hill, London, the role combines strategic sourcing, contract negotiation and stakeholder collaboration to drive savings and innovation for the NHS.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a procurement category or portfolio with annual spend of £20‑30 million.
• Develop and implement category strategies, lead complex sourcing and tender programmes.
• Negotiate high‑value contracts and improve supplier performance.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings, sustainable solutions and value creation.
• Provide leadership, coaching and capability building for procurement colleagues.
• For Clinical Procurement: work with clinicians to translate requirements into supply‑chain solutions, support product standardisation and clinical trials.
• For Corporate & Capital Procurement: oversee end‑to‑end procurement processes, deliver complex tenders and strengthen supplier relationships.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Senior Category Manager or equivalent senior procurement role.
• Strong track record of managing multi‑million pound spend and delivering strategic sourcing outcomes.
• Excellent stakeholder management with senior clinical and corporate partners.
• Leadership experience in building high‑performing procurement teams.
