Senior Ceded Reinsurance Analyst

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Ceded Reinsurance Analyst to support and develop outward reinsurance operations for a specialist insurer in London. The role involves managing premium, loss and recoverable data, ensuring accurate reporting, and driving process improvements across the function.

Key responsibilities

• Administer ceded reinsurance arrangements, including premium, loss and recoverable activity.
• Prepare and review bordereaux, billings, reconciliations and related reports.
• Maintain accurate reinsurance data across systems and support close‑out activities.
• Collaborate with underwriting, claims, finance and reinsurance teams to resolve contract, coding and documentation queries.
• Liaise with external reinsurance partners and brokers as required.
• Maintain audit‑ready records and documentation.
• Identify and implement improvements to processes, controls, reporting and data quality.
• Support ad‑hoc analysis, projects and information requests.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in ceded reinsurance operations, reinsurance accounting or technical insurance operations.
• Strong knowledge of bordereaux, reconciliations, billings, recoverables and reporting.
• Understanding of treaty and/or facultative reinsurance arrangements.
• Experience supporting close processes and financial reporting.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately with complex data.
• Confident stakeholder management with internal and external partners.
• Experience in delegated authority, MGA, programme business or specialty insurance is advantageous.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel for data analysis and reporting.
