Senior Data Engineer – Databricks (Hybrid)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to lead the development of our cloud‑first data platform on Databricks. You will work closely with data scientists, analysts and product teams to deliver business‑critical data products and shape the evolution of our Lakehouse architecture.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines within Databricks.
• Develop and optimise batch and streaming workflows.
• Design and implement Lakehouse architectures and medallion data models.
• Implement data quality, monitoring and observability frameworks.
• Maintain security, governance and access control standards.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to deliver data products.
• Drive engineering best practice through code reviews and technical standards.
• Identify platform optimisation and cloud cost reduction opportunities.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer in production environments.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience working in a collaborative, cross‑functional team.
