Senior Decision Scientist

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Decision Scientist to strengthen our credit decisioning and model‑oversight capability across markets and products. The role involves developing model‑informed decision tools, leading independent validation and ensuring robust, stable credit decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop reusable analytical tools, simulations and frameworks to support credit policy, eligibility, affordability, risk appetite and segmentation.
• Lead end‑to‑end validation of new and existing credit risk and decisioning models, including material changes.
• Assess model performance, calibration, stability and robustness across markets, segments and time periods.
• Design and maintain calibration and risk‑segmentation frameworks that translate model outputs into coherent risk bands.
• Conduct scenario and sensitivity analysis to understand impact of changes on approval rates and portfolio performance.
• Define requirements, acceptance criteria and controls for model and decisioning changes, validating the full production process.
• Develop and maintain monitoring frameworks covering model performance, data quality, applicant profiles and portfolio outcomes.
• Partner with Credit Risk, Pricing, Data Science, Engineering, Finance and Commercial teams to implement improvements safely.

Required profile

• Strong experience in decision science, data science, credit risk analytics or model validation.
• Advanced knowledge of statistics and the model lifecycle, including development, validation, calibration and monitoring.
• Ability to communicate complex technical findings clearly to senior and C‑suite stakeholders.
• Experience working in fast‑paced environments and managing competing priorities.

Required skills

• Advanced SQL for data extraction, validation and performance analysis.
• Advanced Python for statistical analysis, simulation, model validation and tool development.
• Strong statistical modelling and analytical expertise.
