Senior Designer – Leather Goods & Accessories

About the role

Aspinal of London is seeking a Senior Designer to lead the leather goods and accessories category, overseeing bag styles, hardware, leather sourcing, seasonal colour development and new product categories. The role works closely with the Chairman and Product & Supply Director and will lead the design team during a maternity leave period.

Key responsibilities

• Develop seasonal concepts, colour palettes and design packs for new collections.
• Create CADs, sketches and technical drawings to guide prototype development.
• Manage the design critical path, ensuring key dates and hand‑over to product development are met.
• Research raw materials, new leathers, hardware and market trends, presenting findings to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the Chairman on scarf designs and visit the flagship store for retail feedback.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience as an accessories or fashion designer.
• Degree‑level qualification in Fashion or Accessories Design.
• Strong understanding of Aspinal’s brand DNA, target customer and craftsmanship standards.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Adobe Illustrator / Adobe AI for creating design specifications.
• CAD and 3D design capabilities.
• Hand sketching and concept board creation.
