Senior Director, AI, Digital and Data

About the role

Save the Children International is seeking a Senior Director to lead its global AI, Digital and Data team. This senior leader will shape strategy, drive implementation and act as the trusted advisor on AI, digital technology and data‑driven decision‑making across the movement.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the global AI portfolio, accelerating existing products and pioneering new AI applications that directly benefit children.
• Lead digital programming and ICT4D initiatives, supporting technology‑enabled solutions such as cash and voucher delivery, health‑record digitisation and remote learning.
• Oversee the data insights programme, promoting data‑driven decision‑making from global headquarters to field offices.
• Manage a budget of approximately $2 million and a team of about 15 staff across multiple functions.
• Build partnerships with INGOs, technology firms, foundations and other external stakeholders to leverage resources and drive sector‑wide change.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in AI, digital transformation or data analytics, preferably within an international or humanitarian context.
• Strong track record of managing cross‑functional teams and multi‑million‑dollar budgets.
• Ability to travel internationally up to 10% of the time and work across time zones.
• Fluent English and right to work in the country of assignment.
