Senior Director, Data & Analytics

About the role

We are seeking a senior leader to define and deliver a data, analytics and AI strategy for a complex, global organisation. The role will shape how data drives commercial decisions, operational performance and digital transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the enterprise data, analytics and AI strategy aligned to business priorities
• Lead a multi‑disciplinary team across analytics, data science and data engineering
• Drive adoption of analytics and embed data‑led decision making across senior stakeholders
• Establish data governance frameworks to improve quality, ownership and consistency
• Identify and deliver high‑value AI and machine learning use cases
• Oversee the development of scalable data platforms and modern architecture
• Partner cross‑functionally within a complex matrix environment to deliver strategic initiatives
• Translate data into actionable insight to support commercial and operational outcomes

Required profile

• Strong leadership experience across data, analytics and AI functions
• Proven ability to operate effectively within complex, matrix organisations
• Experience leading multiple teams across analytics, business intelligence and data science
• Strong commercial mindset with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
• Demonstrated delivery of data‑driven transformation and organisational change
• Experience building data governance frameworks and improving data quality
• Deep understanding of AI, machine learning and advanced analytics applications
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
