Senior Finance Administrator

About the role

The organisation is an established investment trust looking for a Senior Finance Administrator to join its Manchester office. You will support the day‑to‑day accounts payable function within a busy shared services environment, ensuring accuracy and compliance while driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Process third‑party supplier invoices accurately and within agreed timescales.
• Match invoices to purchase orders and resolve any discrepancies.
• Enter and post transactions into the accounts payable system.
• Respond to supplier and internal payment queries promptly and professionally.
• Support the billing team with client recharge processing.
• Monitor accounts payable controls and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Resolve escalated issues and maintain positive supplier relationships.
• Manage Zendesk tickets in line with service level agreements.
• Assist with audit requests and provide supporting documentation.
• Identify and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.

Required profile

• Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar finance administration role.
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
• Good communication skills for interacting with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
