Senior Front End Developer (React)

About the role

TXP Technology x People is expanding its front‑end engineering capability and is looking for an experienced Senior Front End Developer to join a hybrid‑working team in the West Midlands. You will work on complex, modern applications at scale, delivering high‑quality, performant and accessible user interfaces in an Agile environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain front‑end applications using React, Remix and React Router.
• Work across the full software development lifecycle – design, coding, testing, defect resolution and deployment.
• Ensure deliverables meet agreed quality, functionality and timeline expectations.
• Participate actively in Agile sprint ceremonies, including planning, stand‑ups, reviews and retrospectives.
• Build user interfaces that consume and integrate REST APIs, applying best practices for code quality, performance, accessibility and progressive enhancement.
• Support and mentor junior developers and contractors as needed.
• Collaborate closely with back‑end engineers and QA teams to deliver well‑rounded solutions.
• Contribute to shared standards, patterns and continuous improvement across the team.

Required profile

• Strong commercial experience with React.
• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as Remix and React Router.
• In‑depth knowledge of TypeScript and JavaScript.
• Solid understanding of server‑side rendering (SSR) and progressive enhancement.
• Experience using the MUI (Material‑UI) component library.
• Proven ability to build and consume REST APIs.
• Hands‑on experience with end‑to‑end testing, preferably using Playwright.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and a good grasp of software design, implementation and deployment principles.
• Desirable exposure to accessibility and performance standards, cloud platforms (Azure or AWS), CI/CD pipelines, technical architecture concepts and AI/LLM tooling.
• Eligibility for SC security clearance.
