Senior Fullstack Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer to join our newly‑formed UK defence team in London. You will be the first full‑stack hire, working closely with software and autonomy engineers to build user‑facing tools that support live defence programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement intuitive user interfaces that match how customers operate in the field.
• Develop and maintain backend services and APIs that power the front‑end applications.
• Collaborate with design, product and other engineering teams to ensure consistency across the company’s portfolio.
• Translate insights from defence programmes into product improvements and new features.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and mentor junior engineers as the team grows.

Required profile

• Proven experience shipping production‑grade software as a full‑stack engineer.
• Ability to work across multiple layers of the stack and switch between languages as needed.
• Strong judgment and ownership of the products you build.
• Comfortable collaborating with cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Full‑stack development experience (frontend and backend).
• API design and implementation.
• Interface design principles.
