Senior Hydrogeologist

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Hydrogeologist to join one of Britain’s leading hydro‑consultancies, specialising in renewable energy and geothermal projects. You will work within a friendly hydrogeology team based in East Birmingham, contributing to technically challenging projects and benefiting from extensive training.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct hydrogeological assessments and field investigations.
• Analyse groundwater flow, quality and sustainability.
• Apply GIS platforms such as QGIS and ArcGIS.
• Supervise drilling operations and perform thermal response testing.
• Carry out water‑quality sampling and determine chemical parameters.
• Prepare high‑quality reports, datasets and visualisations.
• Support water‑resource management and low‑carbon energy solutions.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in hydrogeology or a related field.
• Valid driving licence.
• Proven experience in hydrogeological assessments, field work and groundwater analysis.
• Interest in thermogeology and ground‑source heat‑pump systems.
