Senior IT Audit Manager

About the role

As a senior leader within IT Audit you will work closely with the Head of IT Internal Audit, acting as deputy when required, providing leadership across the team and supporting decision‑making at a global level.

Key responsibilities

• Deputise for the Head of IT Internal Audit, represent the function in key forums and lead the IT audit team as needed.
• Lead, oversee and shape a portfolio of complex, high‑profile assurance activities, ensuring timely, high‑quality delivery focused on critical risks.
• Conduct end‑to‑end Technology and Cyber Security audits in line with the Global Audit Methodology across the UK.
• Write, review and present clear, evidence‑based audit reports and insights to senior audiences.
• Support preparation and reporting of papers to Group, Regulated Entities, Market Unit Audit Committees, Risk Committees and Management forums.
• Build and sustain trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, influencing constructively and positioning Internal Audit as a valued assurance partner.
• Anticipate emerging business, regulatory and technology risks and communicate findings with strategic and commercial awareness.
• Drive continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to enhance audit delivery, efficiency and stakeholder experience.
• Follow up on audit management action plans to ensure timely mitigation of identified risks.
• Champion the use of data analytics, visualisation and AI‑enabled tools across all audit stages to improve insights and quality.

Required profile

• Proven senior experience in IT and Cyber Security audit within a large, technology‑driven organisation.
• Strong leadership ability to act as deputy for the Head of IT Internal Audit and guide a multidisciplinary audit team.
• Excellent communication skills to present findings to senior executives and audit committees.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to anticipate emerging regulatory and technology risks.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and innovation in audit methodology.
