Senior Java Developer - BSS/OSS - Hybrid

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Java Developer to join our Software Engineering team delivering enterprise‑scale BSS/OSS solutions. The role is hybrid, based in London, and involves designing, building and optimising high‑performance applications while collaborating with architects, project managers and cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and enhance enterprise Java applications using Spring Boot and J2EE.
• Implement RESTful APIs and micro‑services deployed on Kubernetes or OpenShift.
• Write SQL/PLSQL queries, maintain Oracle 10gAS/JBoss application servers and integrate with front‑end technologies such as Angular, JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3.
• Conduct code reviews, unit testing, performance tuning and support releases, deployments and integration testing.
• Participate in Agile sprint planning, estimations and documentation of technical solutions.
• Mentor junior developers and promote best engineering practices.

Required profile

• Extensive experience developing enterprise Java applications.
• Strong background with Spring Boot, J2EE, REST, micro‑services and container platforms.
• Proficiency in SQL/PLSQL and experience with Oracle or similar RDBMS.
• Hands‑on experience with front‑end frameworks (Angular, JavaScript, Bootstrap, HTML5, CSS3).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Git, Maven, Jenkins and Agile development processes.
• Previous senior or technical‑lead role, preferably within telecom BSS/OSS environments.
