Senior Pricing Analyst/Actuary

About the role

We are partnering with a Lloyds insurer to recruit a newly qualified actuary to join their pricing team in London. The role involves developing and maintaining pricing tools using Python within the HX environment, supporting portfolio management and pricing of large individual contracts alongside underwriters. This is a full‑time, on‑site position offering exposure to a broad range of insurance products.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain pricing models and tools in Python.
• Collaborate with underwriters to price large, complex insurance contracts.
• Assist in portfolio management activities and data analysis.
• Maintain and enhance the HX pricing platform.
• Document pricing methodology and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Perform sensitivity analysis and scenario testing to support pricing decisions.

Required profile

• Actuarial qualification (nearly or newly qualified).
• Experience or strong interest in London market insurance pricing.
• Ability to work closely with underwriting and finance teams.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Proficiency in statistical analysis and data manipulation.
• Effective communication skills to present findings to stakeholders.
