Senior Project Manager – HRIS Implementation

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the end‑to‑end delivery of a People Systems replacement programme for a leading UK social enterprise. The role will be based in Manchester and operates on a hybrid model, combining on‑site collaboration with remote work.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full lifecycle of the People Systems replacement, ensuring delivery within scope, budget and schedule.
• Maintain high standards of governance, quality and risk (RAID) management throughout the programme.
• Coordinate multiple workstreams, manage dependencies and enable informed decision‑making across HR, IT, operational teams and external suppliers.
• Drive business benefits realization, overseeing data migration, testing, training, transition and change activities.
• Engage senior stakeholders, communicate progress and influence outcomes to secure programme success.

Required profile

• Significant experience delivering large‑scale HR or People Systems implementation projects.
• Strong project management expertise covering planning, budgets, reporting and change control.
• Proven ability to lead complex, multi‑workstream programmes across technology, data, testing, training and transition.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills with senior leaders and suppliers.
• Background in social care, healthcare, local government, charity or other people‑focused organisations is advantageous.

Required skills

• PRINCE2 methodology (or PRINCE2 Practitioner qualification).
• MSP (Managing Successful Programmes) or equivalent.
• Agile project management approaches.
• Experience with People First HRIS platform.
• Experience with Midland HR HRIS platform.
