Senior QA Technician

About the role

Join a leading life‑sciences client in Birmingham as a Senior QA Technician. You will support the release of specialty diagnostic devices, ensuring compliance with strict regulatory standards and contributing to the diagnosis of blood cancers and immune disorders.

Key responsibilities

• Perform batch release activities and verify Device History Records against Device Master Records and manufacturing procedures.
• Prioritise release schedules, flagging and communicating any non‑conformities.
• Drive continuous‑improvement projects to enhance quality processes.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including manufacturing and regulatory affairs.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 GCSEs (Grade 5 or above) including English, Maths and Science.
• Experience working with GxP standards, particularly GMP, GDP, MDSAP and IVDR, within the medical‑device sector.
• Strong organisational abilities and a customer‑focused mindset.
• Willingness to travel off‑site within a 20‑mile radius on an occasional basis.

Required skills

• Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice).
• Knowledge of GDP (Good Distribution Practice).
• Knowledge of MDSAP (Medical Device Single Audit Program).
• Knowledge of IVDR (In‑Vitro Diagnostic Regulation).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
