Senior Quality Engineer

About the role

TXP Technology is expanding its quality engineering capability with a new Senior Quality Engineer position based in the West Midlands. The role is hybrid, offering the flexibility to work both on‑site and remotely while supporting UK‑wide delivery teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build test automation frameworks from the ground up.
• Lead testing across automation, performance, security and other non‑functional areas.
• Perform detailed test analysis and design for complex, highly integrated systems, including regulated environments.
• Apply TDD, BDD and risk‑based testing approaches throughout the development lifecycle.
• Support and champion CI/CD pipelines and shift‑left quality practices.
• Deliver testing at all levels: unit, component, system, integration, end‑to‑end and non‑functional testing.
• Collaborate closely with developers, including pair programming, and mentor less experienced testers.
• Manage test data, artefacts and testing collateral in line with TXP standards.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in quality engineering with a hands‑on delivery focus.
• Demonstrated ability to embed testing best practices across agile delivery teams.
• Experience defining testing policies, standards and guidelines at enterprise scale.
• Strong communication and coaching skills for stakeholder engagement and team development.
