Senior Quantity Surveyor – Infrastructure Project

About the role

Gold Group Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a major infrastructure programme in Birmingham. You will lead the commercial management of high‑value head‑house structures that house critical plant and systems, ensuring cost‑effective delivery and supporting the project's overall success.

Key responsibilities

• Manage commercial delivery of major subcontract packages.
• Lead procurement activities and negotiate subcontract agreements.
• Produce accurate cost reports, forecasts and cost‑value reconciliations (CVRs).
• Control change, compensation events and variations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor project risks and opportunities and prepare interim valuations.
• Oversee subcontractor accounts to final settlement.
• Provide commercial leadership to project teams and mentor junior staff.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within a main‑contractor environment.
• Strong commercial and NEC contractual knowledge.
• Track record of managing significant subcontract packages on large construction or infrastructure projects.
• Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management abilities.
