Senior Recruitment Consultant

About the role

Academics is seeking a Senior Recruitment Consultant to join its Rochester office and help expand its education recruitment brand across the South East. You will manage end‑to‑end recruitment for primary, secondary or SEN schools, working with both candidates and client schools.

Key responsibilities

• Run a 360 recruitment desk, handling candidate sourcing, client liaison and placement management.
• Develop new business by winning contracts with schools and building long‑term client relationships.
• Provide high‑quality candidate care, from initial contact through interview preparation to offer acceptance.
• Meet and exceed monthly and yearly revenue targets through commission‑driven sales.
• Collaborate with the wider Academics team to share market insights and best practices.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in recruitment (any sector, education preferred).
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Self‑motivated, ambitious and able to work autonomously.
• Strong business development skills and confidence in winning new accounts.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities.
