Senior Risk Manager

About the role

SF Partners is seeking a Senior Risk Manager to join a fast‑growing Midlands‑based infrastructure team. You will work on high‑profile projects, shaping risk strategies and collaborating with a award‑winning risk community.

Key responsibilities

• Lead risk management professionals to deliver consistent, value‑adding risk oversight across complex projects and programmes.
• Design, plan and implement risk management processes tailored to client needs and best practice.
• Drive continuous improvement of risk and project‑control processes.
• Challenge and enhance risk data quality to ensure robustness and scrutiny.
• Support rollout of new risk management approaches and act as subject‑matter expert on major projects.
• Work with integrated project teams to establish a reliable Performance Measurement Baseline and support change control.
• Design and deliver risk training, coach less experienced team members, and facilitate risk workshops.
• Maintain risk registers, ensure quality control of risk information and report on risk status.
• Promote mitigation actions and help develop measurable management responses.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in risk management within infrastructure or large‑scale projects.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop risk teams.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on data quality and continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement and training delivery.
