Senior Technical AV Production Manager – Event Production

About the role

Prospero Integrated is seeking a senior leader to head its technical AV production team for events across the West Midlands. You will drive the delivery of high‑profile live, hybrid and virtual events while ensuring safety, quality and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop a team of Event Production Managers, allocating workloads across multiple projects.
• Oversee technical planning, execution and on‑site delivery of events, maintaining quality, safety and client expectations.
• Manage production budgets, staffing costs, equipment spend, forecasting and financial reporting.
• Identify revenue‑enhancing opportunities through technical upgrades, room theming and additional services.
• Support the sales process with technical expertise, contributing to proposals and presentations.
• Maintain accurate event documentation, including specifications, schedules, risk assessments and health‑and‑safety records.
• Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies and venue technical specifications.
• Schedule technical crew, allocate resources and ensure events are staffed appropriately and delivered within budget.
• Provide hands‑on support during event delivery and resolve operational challenges.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, company policies and industry best practices.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in event production, delivering high‑profile live, conference, exhibition and hybrid events.
• Strong people‑management skills with a track record of inspiring and developing teams.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and client‑facing abilities.
• Commercial awareness with experience in budgeting, forecasting and revenue generation.
• Ability to juggle multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proactive problem‑solving approach and strong organisational skills.
