Shipping Administrator (Hybrid, Temporary)

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Shipping Administrator to join a fast‑moving team in Birmingham. The role is hybrid, offering a mix of office‑based and remote work, and is temporary on a full‑time basis.

Key responsibilities

• Provide general administrative support to the Purchasing, Export & Import, Service and Accounts departments.
• Handle export administration, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
• Process purchase orders, maintain purchasing records and chase progress.
• Assist with purchase ledger tasks, including invoice processing and reconciliation.
• Support sales ledger activities such as order processing and credit control.
• Perform general office duties – answering phones, filing and laser printing.

Required profile

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organisational ability with great attention to detail.
• Capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
• A positive, ‘can‑do’ attitude.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
