Site Services Engineer – Manufacturing Utilities

About the role

We are looking for a Site Services Engineer to ensure the safe, efficient and compliant operation of our Pontefract manufacturing site. You will maintain essential utilities and plant room assets, supporting our snack production lines.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and service critical site equipment such as boilers, compressors, pumps and effluent treatment systems.
• Carry out statutory inspections and ensure compliance with LOLER, legionella, fire and sprinkler regulations.
• Diagnose faults, perform mechanical repairs and support electrical maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Document all maintenance, inspections and audit records accurately.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities through the Intersnack Working System (IWS).

Required profile

• Recognised Mechanical Apprenticeship or Mechanical Engineering qualification.
• Proven experience maintaining site services, utilities or industrial equipment in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently and collaborate with contractors and stakeholders.

Required skills

• Mechanical maintenance of boilers, compressors, pumps and pipework.
• Knowledge of plant room equipment and utility systems.
• Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel for data recording.
