Solicitor (1-6 PQE) – Policy Coverage

About the role

Keoghs LLP is seeking a solicitor with 1‑6 years post‑qualification experience to join its Policy Coverage team. You will manage a high volume of household and commercial property recovery files for leading insurers, delivering technical legal solutions and building client relationships through training and mentorship.

Key responsibilities

• Initial case review and reporting
• Handling disclosure and reviewing evidence
• Conducting investigations and instructing counsel and experts
• Legal research and drafting of documents
• Attending conferences, trials and ADR sessions
• Negotiating settlements and preparing Part 36 offers
• Preparing pre‑action, interim applications and trial bundles
• Liaising with lay and insurer clients

Required profile

• Previous experience in a defendant insurance litigation firm
• Litigation experience in recoveries, particularly household and commercial property
• Strong ability to prioritise workload and attention to detail
• Familiarity with case‑management systems
