Solicitor (NQ‑5PQE) – Construction & Property Insurance

About the role

Keoghs LLP is seeking a qualified solicitor (NQ‑5PQE) to join its Property Risks and Coverage team, focusing on construction‑related insurance matters. The role offers hybrid working with at least one day per week in the office and the chance to work on high‑value claims across the UK.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a personal caseload from inception to resolution, including drafting pleadings and court applications.
• Assist senior lawyers on large, complex claims, preparing advice, coverage opinions and briefing counsel and experts.
• Conduct detailed investigations, legal research and document reviews to support litigation strategy.
• Negotiate settlements, attend client meetings and contribute to ADR processes.
• Deliver training seminars and workshops for insurer clients on technical legal issues.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor (or equivalent) with NQ to 5 years post‑qualification experience.
• Previous experience in defendant‑side property insurance litigation.
• Strong understanding of product liability, breach of contract, negligence, property law and insurance coverage.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team on high‑value cases.
