Solution Engineer – Maritime

About the role

Applied Intuition is seeking a Solution Engineer to support its maritime portfolio across the EMEA region. The role bridges the gap between defence customers and Applied’s engineering teams, delivering technical pre‑sales expertise and ensuring successful adoption of autonomous maritime systems.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical pre‑sales support focused on maritime systems, acting as the primary technical liaison for UK defence and civilian customers.
• Collaborate with Applied’s product and engineering teams to define, scope, and deliver tailored solutions.
• Lead architecture reviews, demos, and deployments during both pre‑sale and post‑sale phases.
• Assist customers in adopting Applied’s code‑first developer toolchain and integrate it with existing infrastructure.
• Support end‑users throughout the project lifecycle to maximise solution impact and adoption.

Required profile

• UK Security Clearance (or ability to obtain one).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the maritime sector.
• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple customer engagements in parallel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Required skills

• Intermediate programming experience in C/C++.
• Intermediate programming experience in Python.
