Staff Nurse – Outpatient Department

About the role

The Outpatient Department at Queen Margaret Hospital is seeking a Staff Nurse for a fixed‑term post of 20 months. Working 33 hours per week, you will join a diverse team delivering nurse‑led clinical services and supporting the smooth operation of a busy acute setting.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the outpatient setting.
• Assist in the delivery of nurse‑led clinical services.
• Support the day‑to‑day running of the department, including shift coverage across acute sites.
• Participate in learning opportunities and develop new clinical skills after a period of supported learning.

Required profile

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
• Flexibility, adaptability and initiative to meet shifting service needs.
• Willingness to work across both acute sites as required.
• Eligibility to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.
• Legal right to work in the United Kingdom.
