Supply Secondary Early Career Teacher (ECT) – KS3/KS4

About the role
We are looking for enthusiastic Early Career Teachers (ECTs) to provide supply cover across secondary schools in Plymouth and the surrounding South West England area. The role offers flexible, short‑term and long‑term placements from September, allowing you to gain classroom confidence and experience in a variety of school settings.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver secondary teaching for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with subject specialism considered.
- Take full class responsibility where appropriate or provide supported cover.
- Adapt lesson plans to meet the needs of different schools and student groups.
- Maintain classroom discipline and promote a positive learning environment.
Required profile
- Recently qualified ECT or teacher completing training this summer.
- Strong classroom presence and passion for teaching.
- Willingness to work in varied school environments.
- Good behaviour management and communication skills.
- Positive, proactive attitude towards professional development.
