Sustainability Consultant – ESG Advisory (Hybrid, London)

About the role

RLB is seeking a Sustainability Consultant to own client relationships and deliver ESG advisory services to institutional real‑estate investors across the UK and Europe. The role combines GRESB and BREEAM In‑Use expertise with broader sustainability consulting, offering a hybrid, flexible working pattern in London.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the day‑to‑day contact for institutional investors, fund managers and asset managers, presenting technical findings in commercial terms.
• Deliver annual GRESB Real Estate Assessment submissions, perform gap analyses and develop multi‑year improvement roadmaps.
• Provide BREEAM In‑Use advisory, manage evidence gathering, liaise with assessors and support clients through certification.
• Coordinate data collection on energy, water, waste and GHG emissions, ensuring traceability and quality assurance.
• Contribute to bids, proposals and the development of tools, templates and methodologies.

Required profile

• Approximately 4 years of client‑facing consultancy experience in real estate, sustainability or the built environment.
• Hands‑on experience with GRESB submissions and BREEAM In‑Use assessments.
• Proven ability to manage workstreams independently and meet deadlines.
• Strong client management skills and commercial awareness.
• Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
