Teaching Assistant – Hammersmith & Fulham

About the role

We are seeking a caring, motivated Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Hammersmith & Fulham, London. The role involves supporting teachers and pupils to enhance learning, confidence and wellbeing in an inclusive classroom environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist classroom teachers in delivering engaging lessons and activities.
• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to pupils, including those with additional educational needs.
• Help prepare learning materials and maintain classroom organisation.
• Support positive behaviour management and promote a safe, inclusive learning atmosphere.
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff and families to implement personalised learning plans.

Required profile

• Passionate about making a positive difference in children’s lives.
• Caring, patient and supportive with strong communication skills.
• Ability to build trusting relationships with pupils.
• Enthusiastic about education and child development.
• Reliable team player; previous experience in a school or childcare setting is desirable but not essential.
