Team Leader – South Tyneside (Support Services)

About the role

As a Team Leader for Lifeways Group in South Tyneside, you will supervise and support the delivery of high‑quality care for adults with learning disabilities. You will lead a team, motivate staff and ensure the best outcomes for the individuals you support.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and support the delivery of high‑quality care.
• Lead, motivate and develop the care team.
• Oversee support for individuals with autism, mental health needs, learning disabilities and challenging behaviours.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety and care standards.

Required profile

• Passionate and committed leader able to inspire others.
• Essential experience working with adults with learning disabilities.
• Desirable experience supporting individuals with mental health needs.
• NVQ Level 3 (or above) in Health & Social Care, or willingness to work towards it.
• Minimum two years’ experience within the learning disability sector.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
