Technical Business Analyst

About the role

FDM Group is seeking a Technical Business Analyst to join a Financial Services client. The role bridges business, technology, cyber security, fraud operations, data and risk teams, translating strategic outcomes into clear product, data, control and engineering requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and document business, operational, regulatory and technical requirements and facilitate workshops.
• Translate outcomes into Azure DevOps epics, features, user stories and acceptance criteria while maintaining traceability.
• Define workflows, business rules, exception handling and decision boundaries for fraud detection, threat monitoring and AI governance.
• Specify data requirements, lineage, quality and access; produce mappings and data‑flow diagrams.
• Partner with architects, product leads, engineers and platform teams to support backlog refinement, sprint planning, testing and release readiness.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of business analysis or technical business analysis experience.
• Proven experience delivering technology‑enabled transformation in Agile or iterative environments.
• Strong stakeholder management across business and technology teams.
• Experience supporting testing, operational readiness and adoption of solutions.

Required skills

• API design and integration concepts.
• Cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Data analysis, data mapping and data‑lineage concepts.
• Security‑monitoring and analytics concepts.
• Agile backlog management and testing methods.
