Temporary Property Maintenance Operative – Part‑Time

About the role

We are looking for a flexible, part‑time Property Maintenance Operative to join a commercial building in White City, London. The role offers 16 hours per week at £17 per hour, with an immediate start and no notice period required. You will work across a variety of days, including weekends, to support the smooth operation of the site.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance tasks throughout the building.
• Perform minor repairs such as basic plumbing, carpentry, decorating and general building‑fabric work.
• Assist with small improvement projects and facilities‑related duties.
• Support furniture moves, room set‑ups and porterage when required.
• Maintain tools, equipment and maintenance stores to a high standard.
• Liaise with external contractors and provide excellent customer service to occupants and visitors.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a general maintenance, handyman or facilities‑maintenance role.
• Practical ability in basic plumbing, carpentry, decorating and building repairs.
• Good understanding of health and safety practices.
• Ability to work independently and solve problems on the spot.
• Basic IT skills and a professional, customer‑focused attitude.
• Desirable: trade qualification (City & Guilds or equivalent) and certifications such as IOSH, First Aid, PAT testing or IPAF.
