Test Centre Associate – Southwark

About the role

The Test Centre Associate supports the DVSA driving theory testing programme at the Southwark centre, ensuring each candidate receives a secure, fair and well‑managed exam experience. This part‑time, temporary position involves direct interaction with candidates and the smooth operation of the test centre.

Key responsibilities

• Invigilate and supervise driving theory and hazard perception exams.
• Check candidate identification, record bookings and manage the test‑centre system.
• Maintain the integrity and security of all tests in line with DVSA standards.
• Explain test procedures, answer candidate queries and provide customer service.
• Perform opening and closing duties, including daily checks of the test environment.
• Report and handle any incidents that could affect testing.
• Ensure the centre complies with the Equality Act and diversity policies.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service orientation.
• Availability for evenings and weekends, with a minimum of 10 hours per week.
• Flexibility to work various shift patterns (morning, afternoon, full‑day, evening).
• Ability to follow strict procedural guidelines.
