Test Manager – Data Ingestion (Short-term Contract)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Test Manager to lead a short‑term pensions data ingestion project. The role focuses on setting up the test environment and defining the approach for importing Excel‑based calculation scheme data into a pensions platform.

Key responsibilities

• Lead test environment readiness within a two‑week delivery window.
• Define and document the test approach for Excel‑based data ingestion.
• Identify test data needs, dependencies, risks and environment constraints.
• Coordinate testing activities across technical teams, data specialists and business stakeholders.
• Support preparation for system, integration, data validation and UAT activities.
• Establish clear defect management, reporting and escalation processes.

Required profile

• Proven Test Manager experience in data ingestion, migration, integration or platform implementation projects.
• Strong knowledge of test planning, environment set‑up, governance, defect management and stakeholder reporting.
• Experience validating Excel‑based source data moving into enterprise platforms.
• Ability to assess data quality, reconciliation requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Confident communicator able to work with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Comfortable working at pace in a short, focused engagement.
• Previous experience in pensions, financial services or regulated environments is desirable.
