TOTAL Manager – Behaviour Support

About the role

The Bridge Academy is seeking a TOTAL Manager to lead the day‑to‑day operation of its TOTAL (Time Out To Access Learning) Room. This dedicated space supports pupils who have not met the school’s behaviour expectations, helping them reflect, reset and reintegrate into mainstream lessons.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the TOTAL Room on a term‑time basis, ensuring a calm, purposeful learning environment.
• Collaborate closely with pastoral teams, teaching staff and senior leaders to coordinate interventions.
• Support pupils in reflecting on behaviour, developing coping strategies and successfully returning to class.
• Maintain high standards of student culture across the school and uphold the Academy’s values of hard work, integrity and kindness.
• Manage the room’s schedule, resources and documentation in line with school policies.

Required profile

• Strong presence and authority with the ability to uphold high expectations consistently and fairly.
• Experience working with young people, preferably in a secondary school setting.
• Calm, resilient and solution‑focused approach under pressure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of behaviour management strategies aligned with a warm/strict, high‑standards ethos.
