Trainee Dispenser – Pharmacy Advisor (NVQ2)

About the role

As a Trainee Dispenser you will join the pharmacy team in a UK store, supporting the pharmacist and other healthcare professionals. You will receive full training to achieve the NVQ2 Dispenser qualification while building relationships with patients and helping them manage their medicines.

Key responsibilities

• Complete the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 training programme.
• Dispense prescriptions safely, including ordering, labelling, endorsing and collecting medicines.
• Work with store healthcare staff to deliver pharmacy services and follow Standard Operating Procedures.
• Provide advice to patients about medicines and refer complex queries to the pharmacist.
• Stay up‑to‑date with new store innovations and operational processes.
• Support patients in managing repeat prescriptions and promote medication adherence.
• Use evolving store technologies to improve dispensing efficiency and patient safety.

Required profile

• Desire to learn and complete the Dispenser NVQ2 training programme.
• Current, valid UK right to work (no Skilled Worker Visa sponsorship).
• Experience in a community pharmacy is desirable but not mandatory.
