Trainee Recruitment Consultant

About the role

Join Sellick Partnership’s specialist Public Sector Legal team in Manchester as a Trainee Recruitment Consultant. You will work alongside experienced managers, receive tailored training and develop the skills needed to source and place legal candidates across the UK.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with senior recruitment consultants to identify and attract top legal talent.
• Target passive candidates through headhunting and LinkedIn Recruiter.
• Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing candidates via phone and face‑to‑face meetings.
• Conduct candidate interviews, assess suitability against live roles and tailor CVs.
• Source candidates using the internal database, job boards and LinkedIn.
• Write and refresh job adverts and research new client opportunities.
• Promote the Sellick Partnership brand and your personal brand through social media and networking events.

Required profile

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational abilities and a results‑driven mindset.
• Motivation to achieve KPIs and sales targets.
• Sales‑driven, ambitious and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment.
