Trainee Residential Surveyor – Training Programme

About the role

Join Countrywide Surveying Services Training Academy as a Trainee Residential Surveyor and embark on a structured pathway to become a qualified surveyor. The programme blends hands‑on mentoring with virtual classroom learning, giving you the practical experience and professional knowledge needed for a long‑term career in residential surveying.

Key responsibilities

• Shadow experienced mentors during property inspections, surveys and valuations.
• Participate in scheduled classroom and workshop sessions.
• Interpret data, analyse property details and produce accurate professional reports.
• Develop proficiency with industry‑leading surveying tools and software.

Required profile

• One of the following: 1 year relevant experience + RICS‑accredited bachelor’s degree; 2 years experience + RICS‑accredited higher/advanced/foundation qualification; or 4 years relevant experience (no formal qualification required).
• Experience in estate agency, domestic energy assessment, or property management is welcomed.
• Completion of the SAVA Diploma in Residential Surveying & Valuation is an advantage.

Required skills

• Ability to use surveying tools and software.
• Strong analytical skills for interpreting property data.
• Effective communication for reporting findings.
