Trainee Site Manager (Electrical) – Healthcare Projects

About the role

This is a 12‑month trainee programme for an electrician or electrical engineer who wants to move into site management within a specialist healthcare construction contractor. You will work on hospital refurbishments, imaging suites and complex live‑environment projects while receiving full mentoring and training.

Key responsibilities

• Assist experienced Site Managers on specialist healthcare projects.
• Support day‑to‑day management of subcontractors and site operations.
• Carry out hands‑on electrical installation work on smaller tasks.
• Help with health and safety management and maintain site documentation.
• Coordinate deliveries, logistics and labour requirements.
• Attend client meetings and build strong stakeholder relationships.
• Travel nationwide with accommodation provided.

Required profile

• 17th or 18th Edition Electrical Qualification.
• Strong construction site experience.
• Motivation to progress into a Site Manager role.

Required skills

• Electrical installation.
• Knowledge of 17th Edition Electrical standards.
• Knowledge of 18th Edition Electrical standards.
