Trauma Informed Lead

About the role

The College is seeking a Trauma Informed Lead to champion a college‑wide trauma‑informed practice programme. Working across multiple campuses, you will help create safe, inclusive learning environments where every student can thrive.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver trauma‑informed awareness training to staff across the College.
• Facilitate specialist workshops, reflective practice sessions and development activities.
• Support the development of internal Trauma‑Informed Champions.
• Conduct campus reviews and environmental audits to identify barriers to inclusion.
• Collaborate with curriculum and quality teams to embed trauma‑informed principles into policies and processes.
• Gather feedback, evaluate impact and produce recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Build effective relationships with safeguarding, wellbeing, HR and student services teams.

Required profile

• Passionate about trauma‑informed practice, inclusion and student wellbeing.
• Strong communicator with experience delivering training or workshops.
• Background supporting young people, vulnerable adults or similar settings.
• Skilled at building relationships and influencing change.
• Organised, analytical and confident producing reports and recommendations.
• Committed to safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion.

Required skills

What we offer

• Fixed‑term contract (Sept 2026 – Mar 2027) with 36.5 hours per week.
• Competitive hourly rate of £15.75‑£18.
