About the role

Spencer Clarke Group is partnering with several welcoming secondary schools in Preston to provide unqualified supply teachers on a day‑to‑day basis. This role offers a chance for individuals with experience working with young people to gain classroom experience in a secondary setting while supporting teachers and students.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver pre‑prepared lessons and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Manage classroom behaviour and keep pupils engaged and on task.
• Support learning and development across a range of subjects.
• Collaborate with school staff to uphold high educational standards.
• Adapt confidently to different school environments and year groups.

Required profile

• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• Experience working with children or young people (preferred but not essential).
• Confidence and enthusiasm when supporting secondary‑aged students.
• Genuine interest in education and personal development.
• Flexibility and reliability to cover short‑term and long‑term placements.
