Vehicle Hire Booking Agent

About the role

The Vehicle Hire Booking Agent will join Southam Selections' Accident Management team in Birmingham Business Park. Working in a modern office with a supportive team of 12, you will handle all aspects of vehicle hire and repair bookings for insurers, brokers and fleet providers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage vehicle hire and repair bookings via phone or online systems.
• Record customer information and process payments.
• Liaise with customers and suppliers, resolve queries and provide progress updates.
• Arrange delivery and collection of hire vehicles.
• Represent the business and its supplier panel in a professional and courteous manner.

Required profile

• Strong communication and customer‑service orientation.
• Self‑motivated, able to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Team player with good interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to work shift patterns, including occasional Saturdays (35 hours per week).
• Experience in vehicle hire, car rental or vehicle repair is desirable but not essential (full training provided).

Required skills

What we offer

• Salary up to £25,000 per year.
• Additional £200 bonus each month.
• Full‑time schedule: Monday‑Friday 8 am‑8 pm, one Saturday per month (9 am‑5 pm) with overtime pay or a day off.
