Warehouse Manager – 24‑Month Contract

About the role

The Warehouse Manager will lead a busy warehouse and distribution operation supporting essential infrastructure activities. Reporting into the logistics leadership team, you will be responsible for a 15‑person team and will play a pivotal role during a major Oracle ERP implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop a team of approximately 15 warehouse operatives, senior operatives and HGV drivers.
• Manage goods‑in, storage, picking, packing and dispatch activities while ensuring high stock accuracy.
• Maintain a safe, compliant and efficient operation and oversee transport and delivery across the network.
• Support operational continuity during a major Oracle ERP implementation.
• Drive continuous improvement across warehouse and logistics processes.
• Build strong relationships across operational and supply‑chain functions.
• Lead through change while maintaining team engagement and performance.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading warehouse or distribution operations.
• Strong people‑management and coaching capability.
• Experience in fast‑paced, high‑volume environments.
• Ability to manage performance and conduct difficult conversations.
• Experience leading teams through operational change.
• Hands‑on, practical leadership style with resilience under pressure.
