Warehouse Operative – 1pm to 10pm Shift

About the role

Blueleaf is seeking a passionate Warehouse Operative to join its Operations team in Castleford. The permanent full‑time role works 45 hours per week on the 1 pm‑10 pm shift, Monday‑Friday, and involves picking, packing, labelling and loading delivery vehicles to fulfil customer orders accurately and on time.

Key responsibilities

• Live and promote Blueleaf's Culture and Values.
• Perform multi‑skill tasks across the depot including goods‑in, picking, packing, MHE driving, tipping and loading vehicles.
• Pick, pack and dispatch customer orders to required standards with correct paperwork.
• Liaise with Customer Service to provide timely information on consignments.
• Produce delivery schedules for direct dispatch operations.
• Ensure safe manual handling and compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Replenish pick‑face items daily and carry out stock counts as required.

Required profile

• Proven experience working in a warehouse handling heavy goods.
• Team player willing to work as a full member of the team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of health and safety, manual handling and hazardous substances.
• Full driving licence preferred as the role may involve moving delivery vans.

• MHE operation (forklift).
• Hazardous material handling.
