Workshop Controller – Automotive Repair

About the role

Activate Accident Repair is looking for a Workshop Controller to lead the day‑to‑day operations of its Kings Langley bodyshop. The role ensures repairs are carried out to the highest technical standards while meeting productivity targets.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the workshop loading system in line with company policy, ensuring targets and deadlines are met.
• Liaise with office logistics to monitor vehicle intake and allocate resources efficiently.
• Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the repair process.
• Champion health and safety, managing personal protective equipment and reporting risks.
• Monitor and control workshop output, efficiency and material wastage.
• Value vehicles at market rate and ensure no customer vehicle or contents are damaged or lost.

Required profile

• Solid understanding of the automotive repair industry, vehicle legislation and trade practice.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations, including EPA provisions and risk assessment.
• Confident computer literacy.
• Natural leadership and coaching ability.
• Strong knowledge of repair processes and vehicle construction.
• Ability to stay calm and effective under pressure.
