About the role
Our primary school in North‑West Birmingham is seeking a dedicated Year 1 Teacher to join the team from September 2026. This full‑time, long‑term supply position offers the chance to develop classroom expertise in a supportive environment.
Key responsibilities
- Create and maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment for Year 1 pupils.
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the National Curriculum and tailored to young learners.
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of children with SEND.
- Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support pupil progress.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
- Enhanced DBS check (must be on the update service).
- Willingness to undertake ongoing training as needed.
Required skills
- Knowledge of Key Stage 1 curriculum requirements.
- Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learners.
